Thanks to the very generous zoning plan of 1960, land is openly available in the centre of Spreitenbach to implement a large shopping center. Never seen as a centre for Spreitenbach, but instead for the whole region.

Tivoli Spreitenbach was supposed to be a business and leisure centre, with public functions for the community, but slowly transforms itself into a second shopping center, much to the chagrin of the villagers. Connected by a footbridge to the original shopping center, bigger than Shoppi. Local shops close, traffic increases.
